GREETINGS FROM THE PRESIDENT...
From Mary L. Morris, President...
First, I want to welcome you to our website and hope you will get to know us and attend our monthly meetings that are held the second Sunday in each month at 1421 Oxford Street, at 3:00PM. In May, of each year, due to Mother’s day, we move our meeting to the Third Sunday.
We are a not-for-profit neighborhood association with a purpose to assist residents, businesses, non-profits and churches in promoting positive developments within the Oxford area. Our purpose is to serve as a voice for residents to hear concerns, complaints, and channel those concerns to proper City officials and elected representatives.
We have over 2,000 residents within the area, which is bounded by Pontiac on the North, South Anthony Blvd. on the east, Rudisill Boulevard on the south and Lafayette Street on the West. We are seeking officers, committee helpers and someone to help with special projects and the newsletter. All of our officers are volunteers and no one receives any pay for service. If you have never given back to your neighborhood, now is a good time to start. Believe me…you will enjoy it. There is so much to learn and you meet another new family.
At our meetings, you will find residents from the area who are very much interested in maintaining a wholesome and safe environment for all of our residents and businesses. We work hard to bring you up to date information on what is occurring in the area, i.e. police data, complaints, new housing and business developments, code and zoning issues, cleanup activities, projects, notes from monthly meetings, festivals, community activities, etc. We hope you will join us.
We are your voice. The only way we can represent you is for you to get involved. It does not cost anything, other than a membership and your attendance for two hours each month at our meeting. All membership dues go to support and maintain our Oxford Community Association activities and property. We are much diversified and serve all residents.
If you want to donate to our cause, we welcome it. All donations are tax deductible. You can even name us in your wills for lasting affects within South Central Fort Wayne.
Again, explore the website and let us hear from you!
